Waiting for Mr. Mailman to deliver this little guy tomorrow.

Cool! I tried picking up guitar in my late teens, and found that building foot pedals and effects was way more fun.

Better post a review! What are you running it through? I’ve got a few of their super compact pedals (ditto looper and older octave pedal) and they’re fantastic

The unfortunate part is that all I have to run it into at this point is a Line6 Spider IV. Next major purchase is a proper tube amp (probably a Blackstar HT-1 since I just play at home).

You actually built your own effects? That does sound interesting.

It started as an easy distortion pedal, and as I got better at reading schematics I made a bunch of them. This was about 20 years ago, 1998 or so, so I assume stuff today is made with soc and a bit of code, and just enough handmade stuff to be distinct. But it was fun, and I have a very good grounding now in basic electronics.

Also- that could read like I made a bunch distortion pedals...I mostly focused on delays. That sounded cool. I mostly gave them away when I went to a concert.

Awesome. There’s still lots of stuff that is analog today. Kind of favored in the same way that tube amps still rule over solid state. I subscribe to a YouTube channel where two guys talk about nothing but pedals.

It’s funny. For home theater, and music playback I steer clear of tubes. In that application the only purpose they employ is to add distortion, and make it sound live. And I’m pretty sure amps that are fully solid state will create better masters. So in the future that is here, I’d say as long as your digital signature is solid it will likely transfer to an audio track better.
